The Ultimate Smoking Gun Lab Notebook?

June 17, 2008
Thanks to Greg Aharonian's Internet Patent News Service for posting a copy of an article from the July-August 2008 issue of Materials Today reporting on a newly-discovered cryptic comment from Thomas Edison's lab notebook dated September 20, 1890, four days after the suspicious disappearance of Louis of Le Prince, the first person to record motion images on film:
"Eric called me today from Dijon. It has been done. Prince is no more. This is good news but I flinched when he told me. Murder is not my thing. I'm an inventor and my inventions for moving images can now move forward."
Talk about inequitable conduct!

However, according to one reader, "This story is an obvious FAKE, you gullible people. Debunked here: http://www.eriksherman.com/photo/2008/06/is-edison-murder-charge-phone-phoney.html"
